Downtown Sylvania, Ohio Wedding
When Penn and Mara reached out about photographing their wedding day, it was before all the construction on Main St. in downtown Sylvania was even a thing. Yes, we envisioned fall colors and trees casting shadows and the glorious lights of J&G's casting it's lights at night. But, ahhhhhh....how that changed and guess what? It did not matter that there were orange barrels and DO NOT ENTER signs plastered along the street because what mattered were the people that surrounded them and the marriage that took place. Penn said Mara was the prettiest woman he had ever seen and Mara said when she met Penn, it was as if her heart already knew him. They have a love wall outside Dallas Tap Room where they made the decision to say yes to each other and that alone is the cutest thing ever.
There are so many things I could touch on about this wedding that made my heart happy. The anticipation of the ceremony as all the guests congregated out at the gazebo, the nerves of Mara's son before walking his mom down the aisle, the champagne toast after the ceremony between the bride and groom, the lovely dress on Mara, and those gloves, the espresso martini bar that came and went before I saw it happen, the Greek dancing inside the narrow path at Dallas, and the end of the night song sang by their friend. As beautiful as Mara is, she is even more happy than that. All my love to the bride and groom! Oh, and my favorite shot is the last image, at the end of the night-Penn, I got a real good grin out of you!
